To take advantage of the highlights of the summer season in Kraków, the conference will take place in the last week of June (25-29 June 2012). We recommend that the participants extend their stay at least a few days to be able to take part in postconference trips and evening events to be held on 30 June, as well as the exciting cultural events planned in the city in the week following the conference (see Krakow).
The ISHS conference will merge with the HumorTap 4 conference as well as the 2nd Lafal Symposium, both the biannual international humor conferences organized in Poland for several years now.
Sesja HumorTap będzie sesją polskojęzyczną, w razie potrzeby z tłumaczeniem szeptanym.
The conference is scheduled to start on Monday, which will be the day of pre-conference tutorials as well as the conference registration day. On Monday we expect most participants to arrive, therefore the day is going to conclude with a welcome reception. The conference is planned to last for the five following days, of which the last is devoted to guided tours and trips. Each day starts with plenary lectures which are followed up by topical paper sessions both in the morning and afternoon. We are planning coffee and lunch breaks each day. On Wednesday night we are planning a cabaret performance with a small reception in historical surroundings and on Thursday afternoon a trip outside Kraków with the conference dinner in a picturesque location. Tuesday and Friday will be devoted exclusively to presentations of papers, the conference concluding with the ISHS Annual Membership meeting.
