Policies
Students are expected to:
- Attend each class. Each student is allowed ONE unexcused
absence per semester. If a student misses class, it is HIS/HER
responsibility to submit a doctor's certificate during the first
class after the absence. More than one unexcused absence will
result in failing the course. Presentations missed because of
absence must be made up during the first class after the
absence.
- Attend each class having prepared assignments according to
the class schedule. Failure to prepare assignments TWICE per
semester will result in failing the course.
- Give all required presentations; write all papers. Papers
will be presented in the form of computer printouts; apart from
that, electronic versions will be sent to the the instructor's
email address, jkrybicki(at)gmail.com.
A penalty of 30% will be deducted for late papers.
- Exhibit a presence of the mind as well as of the body (see
1.). Each student should take an ACTIVE part in each class.
Inactivity will be treated as an unexcused absence.
